Courage
  • The courage we desire and prize is not the courage to die decently, but to live manfully.

  • Just remaining quietly in the presence of God, listening to Him, being attentive to Him, requires a lot of courage and know-how.

  • The paradox of courage is that a man must be a little careless of his life even in order to keep it.

  • Just as courage imperils life, fear protects it.

  • There can be no great courage where there is no confidence or assurance, and half the battle is in the conviction that we can do what we undertake.
