Faith
  • There is nothing wrong with America that faith, love of freedom, intelligence, and energy of her citizens cannot cure.

  • Anybody who has been seriously engaged in scientific work of any kind realizes that over the entrance to the gates of the temple of science are written the words: 'Ye must have faith.'

  • Man must cease attributing his problems to his environment, and learn again to exercise his will - his personal responsibility in the realm of faith and morals.

  • If children understand that beliefs should be substantiated with evidence, as opposed to tradition, authority, revelation or faith, they will automatically work out for themselves that they are atheists.

  • Faith means living with uncertainty - feeling your way through life, letting your heart guide you like a lantern in the dark.
