Pretty much at all times music motivates me. How can I say this without sounding in any way proud of myself? Obviously I've always written songs that are critical of our government, and talk about our times. Hopefully you attempt to be timeless while doing it.

The government of Israel doesn't like the kinds of things I say, which puts them into the same category as every other government in the world.

If you want the government off your back, get your hands out of its pockets.

Christmas is a time when kids tell Santa what they want and adults pay for it. Deficits are when adults tell the government what they want - and their kids pay for it.

As an artist I have an even more abiding interest in the compact between the Arts and Government.
