Happiness
  • Happiness is neither without us nor within us. It is in God, both without us and within us.

  • Happiness exists on earth, and it is won through prudent exercise of reason, knowledge of the harmony of the universe, and constant practice of generosity.

  • Man needs, for his happiness, not only the enjoyment of this or that, but hope and enterprise and change.

  • Always leave something to wish for otherwise you will be miserable from your very happiness.

  • It is not God's will merely that we should be happy, but that we should make ourselves happy.
