Everybody's a work in progress. I'm a work in progress. I mean, I've never arrived... I'm still learning all the time.

Jazz is the big brother of the blues. If a guy's playing blues like we play, he's in high school. When he starts playing jazz it's like going on to college, to a school of higher learning.

When you are learning about a martial art, it is about respect.

The signs of outstanding leadership appear primarily among the followers. Are the followers reaching their potential? Are they learning? Serving? Do they achieve the required results? Do they change with grace? Manage conflict?

And I like asking questions, to keep learning people with big egos might not want to look unsure.
