Sports can unify the Iraqi people - no Sunnis, no Shiites, just sport for the country.

I long for the days when athletes were revered. I want to see the romance return to sports, to see people enjoy the game purely for the game and the players.

The only consistent hobby I've had is studying Spanish and French because of some delusion of grandeur to work around the world. I love sports but usually I'm looking for the next job.

I don't care what they say about me when I'm through with sports. I don't want to be known as anything else in life but a great father.
