Growing up, sports was my outlet, my way to portray a personality. I was very shy around people but, through sports, something I was good at, I was able to make friends.

I am not a sports girl.

I also watched a lot of football and sports. I haven't had much time to watch too much TV lately.

The truth is that for those 86 long years when the Red Sox went without a World Series win, fans were not only in a recession, but trapped in a longstanding, deeply entrenched sports depression.

I think Bob Costas is terrific. He's so knowledgeable. He can talk about any subject, not just sports.
