Truth
  • Say not, 'I have found the truth,' but rather, 'I have found a truth.'

  • Nothing is beautiful, only man: on this piece of naivete rests all aesthetics, it is the first truth of aesthetics. Let us immediately add its second: nothing is ugly but degenerate man - the domain of aesthetic judgment is therewith defined.

  • Truth is the property of no individual but is the treasure of all men.

  • Truth is handsomer than the affectation of love. Your goodness must have some edge to it, else it is none.

  • Rebellion without truth is like spring in a bleak, arid desert.
