To have faith is to believe in truth, believe that truth confers special power on those lucky enough to get a little insight, and to know in our hearts that all these things come from God, which is why we should never get too cocky about our successes.

Seven and half years ago I began my own journey. For me and my family it was a time of adversity. But during that adversity I derived a deeper faith. And born out of that adversity was a commitment to devote myself to those people and to those issues that truly matter to me.

Faith always contains an element of risk, of venture and we are impelled to make the venture by the affinity and attraction which we feel in ourselves.

Bereavement is the sharpest challenge to our trust in God if faith can overcome this, there is no mountain which it cannot remove.

All faith consists essentially in the recognition of a world of spiritual values behind, yet not apart from, the world of natural phenomena.
